Derek Joseph Hooks is an inspiring author, dynamic speaker, passionate mentor, and multifaceted artist. Born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama, he is the youngest of two children born to Evelyn Hooks and Derek Hooks. A 2015 graduate of Sidney Lanier High School, Derek furthered his education at Tuskegee University, Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM), and Fortis College, where he earned his HVAC certification and license in 2022.
Creativity runs deep in Derek’s DNA...he is a talented visual artist, clothing designer, and musician. He has a love for basketball, comedy, and uplifting social media content. Above all, Derek is a devoted man of faith with a heart for serving others and a steadfast commitment to advancing the Kingdom of God through his gifts and platforms.

The assignment and intention behind Let The Work Speak The Word is to show and display the Glory and Brilliancy of God in a way that brings clarity, comfort, and collaboration. One day I was talking with one of my mentors. He told me about this man who received a Prophecy that he was going to go around the world. The man himself thought that he was going to be traveling globally, but it was the book that God gave him to write and publish that went where his feet didn't go. After he told me that, the song "Let The Work I've Done Speak For Me" came to me and then I heard The Lord Say "Let The Work Speak The Word."
